See It My Way

– a resource for staff to support someone who is Deaf or hard of hearing

To celebrate International Week of the Deaf (23rd Sept-29th Sept 2020) 10,000 More Voices, in partnership with the British Deaf Association, Action on Hearing Loss, National Deaf Children’s Society and the Health & Social Care trusts have developed a quick reference resource to guide staff when communicating with a Deaf person or with someone who is hard of hearing. Posters and reference cards will be distributed across all trusts to support staff to be aware of the importance of effective communication when engaging with patients, clients, relatives & carers.
